Kids

Amber is now in Japan. She called last week with her new international phone number. I'm so proud of her for working so hard and accomplishing this in her life. She says she likes where she is and that it's very humid and tropical. The humidity is taking some getting used to but she sounded good and well.

Kelene is off to spend the next week and a half with Annie at Andrea's house. We'll pick her up on our way out of town to go on vacation.

Annie is working for a home cleaning company which she doesn't love so she is continuing to look for another job. She's dating a young man named Jacob and saving up to purchase a car.  In the mean time she is borrowing our car because her car she purchased from Jade died.

Jade is 7 months pregnant and is feeling the restrictions of sharing her space with little Cason. He is really active and growing fast in there.

Krystal is still working hard for Walmart and has recently had an annual review and received a pay increase which she very much deserves.  She is still enjoying her pets: a horse, 2 goats and a cat. She lives on her own and is self sufficient.

K.C. just got back from Las Vegas where he met some friends one of which he hadn't seen in about 5 years.  Lynn and Rhone stayed in Tucson.

Joe has been suffering this past week with a fever and when he tried to go into urgent care after 5 days of fevering his insurance didn't register and he had to leave without treatment.

Curtis will be finished with school up in Logon Utah in August.  He and his wife, Jessie, will move back to the Mesa area shortly thereafter.  We get to visit them around the 4th of July and are really looking forward to it.

Yesterday was Father's Day and we got to spend the weedend doing some nice family activities. Sat. we had a 5:00 dinner. Ken grilled some beautiful steaks and C.B. & Edie, Eric and Annie joined us. We had great food and fun conversation.  Later that night we went and watched The Man in the Iron Mask with Nanny at her house.  She had surgery on her thumb earlier in the week and is still recovering from that.

I got to visit with my Dad and Mom on Sunday. Grandpa Fisher is doing well but Grandma Fisher fell and reinjured her knee. She tripped and fell on a stake in her back yard after dark. She had it iced and elevated when I spoke to her.  This is the second time this month she's fallen.  She promised to slow down and stop working when she got tired.  Both times she fell it was under these circustances.

Life is truly a blessing and I am grateful for my beautiful family.  I love you all so much!

Exercise is good

We now have an eliptical machine and a treadmill.  Yesterday I got on the eliptical for the first time and was able to go a whopping 2 1/2 minutes. Last night a  whole 4 minutes and the this morning 5 minutes 20 seconds.  Well a  gals got to start somewhere.

My sweet husband has been working very hard to get our exercise room put together. I appreciate his efforts a lot!

Today has involved cutting my husbands hair. Giving a massage to a new client and hanging out with Jade. She got on the eliptical for the first time today too.  She was able to go 5 minutes and said it was hard.  I felt much better about my slow start.  My goal is to be up the 15 min. twice a day by the end of the month.  Wish me luck.

Amber will be visiting this month before she heads to Japan on assignment with the Army.  I can't wait to see her and meet her new friend Michael.

Time to post at my blog

I was just reading the blogs of my amazing daughter Jade, Annie and Kelene and was feeling irritated that Kelene is way overdue for an update when I realized that I hadn't blogged for a whole month longer than her.

April 19th, that's today and it's my 47th birthday.  I'm having a great life!

I'm enjoying looking for and finding my ancestors while doing geneology. I've finally started excercising and am feeling stronger and my knee is doing better. I've started getting new massage clients and they are amazing people who enjoy my massages.

Our puppy Ziva is now spayed and I don't have to worry about dealing with puppies.  I also really like our new vet.

We get to see K.C. (our oldest son), Lynn (his sweet and beautiful wife) and Rhone (our first wonderful grandson) this weekend.

Friday we're going to the Easter pageant in Mesa with family.

Today Nanny is taking me to lunch at the main street cafe and tonight the family is taking me out to Bricks.  I'm also going to have a makeover with Kelene when she gets out of school.

It doesn't get much better than that!!!!
Happy birthday to me!

I love my job!

February I ran a special to try to get my business going in Thatcher.  It worked.  I got to do a lot of massages because who can resist a $35 massage and if it's only for a month you don't put it off.  Thanks everyone for referring me to your friends and family and giving me a call to book an appointment.

2011 and life is great!

So far this year we've gotten to visit K.C., Lynn and Rhone while taking Kelene to try out for regionals along with Nanny. It was a great day with family and a yummy lunch at a mexican hot dog stand. Rhone was cuter than ever and Kelene made 4th alternate in the soprano section. Hats off to you for doing so well with only one semester of choir behind you and no voice training at all. You are a natural and oh so talented young lady!

Ken had his 51st birthday and I'm so glad he is my wonderful husband. He works so hard and is patient with me and my absent minded ways.

My mom is visiting my sister Charisse and her family in Castaic, CA. They are working hard to get her moved to Houston TX where Mason got transferred with UPS, his work.

Next week some of our kids will be coming into town to visit for their dad's birthday.  I can't wait to see them.

I'm taking a family history class during Sunday School at church.  Thank you Sis. Orr for teaching me how to research family names and get them ready for the temple.  Kelene has already taken 11 women and 4 men that we found into the temple for baptisms.

We are having really cold and record breaking cold weather all through out AZ right now. I've never experienced 5 degree temperatures before with a wind chill of -6 degrees.  I hope it kills the bugs. We should have better tempuratures by the weekend.

Last night Ken, Kelene and I went exploring.  We hung out at an antique shop, checked out Pollocks western wear and went to the local nursery to buy seeds for our garden and pet the horses (which Kelene said her hands still smelled like this morning).  It was a great family day and very enjoyable.

I love my family and feel so grateful for my very blessed life. Now I must force myself to clean my somewhat messy house.  Love you all!

Strong is good!

So between moving and moving and more moving I've injured my body and then stopped excercising so my legs and knees have become very weak.  So weak that I could barely stand up and sit down without majorly using my arms.  So my wonderful new friend Laurie Moore has been walking with me and now I am getting stronger.  Thank you Laurie.  My worry wort mother-in-law called today thinking I might have blood clots like her friend because of my weakness.  I was so happy to report that I was doing better.

The long and short of this is exercise is good (even if you do not love it).  If you don't do it you will weaken and fall apart.  Don't do that because it's not fun.
